My xbox wireless controller is not connecting to my MacBook

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if you could help me out. When I try to connect my Xbox One wireless controller to my Mac it is saying it is connected on the Bluetooth menu on my Mac but when I try to play a game on cloud gaming it says the controller is disconnected. Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue?

Hi there Marissa welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Have you tried uninstalling and installing the accessories app? I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Hey Marissa,

What has helped me in the past with making sure my Bluetooth connection for my Xbox controllers to stay strong is by purchasing the wireless adapter for Windows 10. I know making a purchase isn’t ideal but it has helped me personally. Hope this helps!

I was able to connect my bluetooth xbox one controller to my macbook pro, but i didnt have any luck connecting to ipad

Have you removed the device in the Bluetooth settings?

Connect the controller once to the Xbox and then connect it back to your MacBook and it should work.

I have also verified controller's Bluetooth is working fine by connecting the controller to a MacBook.
