My xbox turns on randomly

My xbox one turns on in the middle of the night sometimes I will just be reading and all of a sudden I hear my xbox so now I'm officialy unplugging my xbox at night

Hey there!

Unplugging your console is definitely a way to keep it from powering on or off independently. You don't happen to have a very curious cat by any chance that might be turning your console on, right? That'd be too easy...

If you haven't done it in a while, next time you unplug your console, spray a soft, clean cloth with a household cleaner and wipe down the front of your console to be sure there's nothing over the power button. Then, make sure that you don't have any other
devices like a smartphone connected to your console that may be powering it on via the Xbox App. Don't forget to check and see if your console is currently set to

energy-saver or instant-on mode. If it's in instant-on, go ahead and switch it to energy saver mode.

Hopefully something there does the trick for you.

My XBOX just went on by itself tonight .. i am at work (close to AMSTERDAM) , noone logged in with the APP on IOS .. my wife is just totally freaked out and scared.

The thing is clean.

Never on standby it is allways OFF.

Connected to the internet.

Is yours also connected to the internet ?

my xbox is set to 5.1 uncompressed and randomly I will turn it on to find it on stereo

Hi I'm having the exact same problem as the OP. My Xbox "dings" when it turns on/off and it's also randomly turning itself on.
