My Xbox turns off even after it’s off

If you have done the complete power cycle steps below and you are still experiencing the same issue after a few days. 1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

No. After i discovered it was the xbox i went and turned all that off. Turned absolutely everything off. Even cortana. Turned her off too in case she was listening in the background.

I have this same problem. It seems to have started after the February patch. No matter now I turn the xbox on it never turns the TV on. However, when I turn off the xbox it turns off the tv fine. I've checked my settings, even reset my settings to make sure
it's configured properly. Turn devices on is checked.

You must have background downloads on. Does the power button's light flash, or does it just stay on fully?
