My XBOX turns itself off after a couple min

I do not know why and it is not overheating. I feel it after it turns itself off and it is not warm. It does not lag much and seems perfectly fine except this one issue. IDK if the sensor is malfunctioning or what but I can not play anything for more than 2 min until it just turns off. No warning or error screen just off. Could it be that it has low storage? It is at 93 percent storage if that could effect it like this. Some days it stops working or perhaps a couple days to couple weeks. But then one day it works again even though I did nothing to fix it. It could just be to old and needs something replaced or just is broken and I need a new one. Any one else have this problem and can anyone help me out?

could be overheating, you won't always feel heat from the unit if the apu is overheating, but could also be a faulty cap or something else, i would take to a local repair shop for them to look at.

Thank you so much for the detailed information and no worries, the free storage should not affect this. It can be the console's power supply just needs to be reset or there is a corrupted file on your console. I will help you with the steps needed:

Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One X, and Xbox One S have an internal power supply that works in all regions worldwide. If your console won't turn on, it may simply need a power reset. Often, power issues are due to the power supply resetting after a power surge.

To reset the internal power supply, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the mains lead from the console.

2. Wait 10 seconds.

3. Plug the cord back into the console, and then press the Xbox button on the front of the console.

If the issue persists, you may need to reset the console keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Yep! My xbox turns on...... for 5 mins then shuts off. I've unplugged everything, made sure my external drive was not plugged in.. nothing is working. My xbox was perfectly fine till I turned it on and it ran that update. It rebooted like it was suppose
too, I went one YouTube then shut off... turned it back on.. waited a couple mins, then turned off. Waited 20 mins turned it on one last time and it turned off after 10 mins. After this point I got pissed off and said **** it. Only thing I can think of is
factory reset it if it gives me a enough time too and see if that works.. last thing I want to do. Microsoft seriously need to step up their game on updates, between console and PC. Their updates are ****.
