    My Xbox system update won't even update.


    So I am trying to do this 780MB console update as it's on step 2 of 3. After a while the screen goes black and once the Xbox is turned on. Turns out I have to update it again. Is there any way this can be fixed?

    The update for Xbox 360 is either downloaded from Xbox Live or updated via a disc or USB drive. A replacement hdd won't force an O.S update to my knowledge.

    The main Operating System is stored on a non user accessible flash storage anyway.

    If you don't update the console you won't lose the blades.
