My Xbox stop downloading in sleep mode

I don't believe there is an option to prevent sleep mode during downloads because the laptop should not enter sleep mode if a download is running in the background. It seems counterproductive that the device would go to sleep mode and stop a download when
you are not using the device to allow the download to complete.

I think the best thing to do is to adjust your sleep settings so that your laptop takes longer to go into sleep mode but you are not disabling it completely. You can mange those settings from the following link: How

yep, I made sure that it was on. they start to download when I turn my Xbox on, but when I put it in sleep mode it just stops downloading, as in when i turn the xbox back on i have a notification that says "installation stopped", but it starts right back
up.

Downloading games I am not sure about , I know during setup it said if you go in complete power off mode it stops system updates and if your in soft off ( sleep mode ) it will do system updates while sleeping.

Now I dont see why games would not be the same. The 360 was able to go into a mode while off that would continue installing games and apps you had queued for download and then totally sleep once finished so I dont see why the ONE would not do it this way
too.

I have s series. Does that mean that if I turn it off, the download will continue?

Yes, regardless of which power mode you're using, downloads should continue when you turn the console off. Originally, you had to use "instant on" mode for that to work, but MS changed the way it works a few months ago, so now it will work with either mode.

Remote downloading, where you can trigger a download remotely via the Xbox app or Xbox website and have it start to download on your console, only works with sleep mode, so if that's what you're trying to do, if you're not using sleep mode then that's why it's not working.

However, if you are triggering the download on your console then when you turn the console off the download stops, it's likely to be some kind of networking/router issue, with the console losing connection to the Xbox Network.

Thanks for the answer. Well, my auto update always off because sudden downloading while gaming makes my connection bad. So all this time did sleep mode is useless for me and from now i will choose saving energy mode then sleep mode
