My xbox stolen how do I locate it.

With my laptop it can locate its position, but it won't give me the option to do it for my xbox. It just says that it is ready to go. I had used the info from its detail page to register it, but still no option. I of course am going to go file a report
with the police very soon

Change your password immediately! So that whomever stole your Xbox cannot access your financial information. There is a step by step instruction for stolen Xbox's you can access it

The police would need to work with Microsoft to try to track it down. There is no way for you to track it yourself.

Many devices have location features built in like phones and some laptops. They either have built in GPS or have wireless transmitters that access cell towers to find locations. The xbox does not have this. Which means the only way to track it would be
when it is used to connect to the internet and unfortunately that isn't a viable way especially if its being connected through a VPN. Unfortunately about the only way things like this are recovered is if the police just happen by them or if the device is pawned
off and it is logged into the data base.
