Are you an Xbox Insider by any chance. If so, then report the issue using the insider hub. That way the correct team can fix the issue.

If you are not, then try just having the keyboard and mouse plugged into the xbox and try again.

Yes but what if I want to use the mouse and keyboard while streaming, I dont want to have to unplug my desktops mouse and keyboard and connect it to my xbox when I have the ability to play from here. Can I play mouse and keyboard supported games through

1. According to
Xbox One, not all game and app supports mouse and keyboard. For some games and app, the mouse and keyboard support feature need to enabled before you can use it. It's recommended you consult the game or app publisher if you're not sure about this.

2. Almost every USB keyboard work with Xbox One. It depends on the game or the app you'll play on Xbox One. To use a USB keyboard or mouse on Xbox One, you'll need an input adapter. See

3. Yes. The controller will still be active when you're using the keyboard or mouse. And you can use the controller to configure the mouse.

For the following to work you must make the menu selections using your keyboard. If you use the controller to make your menu selections to start the game you will be placed in a room for those with a controller and your keyboard/mouse will be non functional
to make it fair to other players. To enter the room for keyboard and mouse users the game must be started by selecting the options using the keyboard/mouse. Hope this helps.

I personally like the keyboard and mouse and enjoy using it when I can on games, yes I could just use it on PC but I think it adds diversity to the platform when playing certain games which support keyboard and mouse. I think they should make it more useful
for things like Microsoft edge as well as the mouse doesn’t always work. But using a keyboard for typing in Xbox is so useful.
