My Xbox series X quit recognizing most of my disc games.

What happens when you insert the disc?

Which error code are you receiving?

It sounds like its loading then nothing at all. No error code unless i manually try to start the game and its 0x803f8001. But it's only with most games. When I put red dead 2 in or resident evil 8 it reads it fine. But resident evil 2 remake and deadpool dont.

That's strange
When you said reset the Xbox, do you mean the full factory reset? Or the one where you keep your games and apps?

If it's the second, instead do the full factory.

My other advise (and probably the last one) would be perform an offline update for your console.
In that way Xbox system will be installed from scratch. (In case there are some cached files that the factory reset is not capable to delete)

If even with the offline update the issue persists, the next step will be request a repair order with Microsoft (or with a third party retailer shop) to see if something's wrong with your Xbox
