My Xbox Series X is not registering my Ethernet cable

Thank you, but I just came back home and got on and it’s working perfectly fine now. I am really confused why it was not working yesterday don’t know what it could have been. Thank you once again

hi is xbox live subscription based has it run out? Is there a issue with payment check with your card provider/bank Also your internet connection must have been down but its back as you could not send your message check your cables as mentioned Also see if you have to reboot the router hub as I had to as it too needed an update my hub now works and so my system but my issue currently listed I cant find answer to it at the moment as it is happening externally I have to have a port open otherwise no traffic can flow in or out rendering my system to be no more use than a sky hook. hope this helps and stay safe =) I do not work for or am affiliated to Microsoft and any of it's affiliates.

Hello Lui, in addition to swapping the network cable, you tried connecting it to another modem/router port, for example, if it was connected to port 01, plug in port 01 and see if it is recognized.

Did you manage to fix the connectivity issue? My Series X constantly drops connection to xbox live/internet despite an ethernet cable being used.

I have had similar problems with my sons series x dropping internet connection and the only way of curing this was connecting the console directly to the router with an Ethernet Cable. It now works with no issues. I hope this helps.

And to add my sons Xbox one worked perfectly on our WiFi with no issues but the series x has issues, I’ve no idea why it has these issues but the cable sorted it.
