my xbox series s is slowed down to the point it is unusable

Hello Om3n2z1ppo, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your console.

Please try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down. Then unplug it for 30 seconds. Then hold the Sync button (left side near the USB port on the original Xbox One and just below the power button on the S and X consoles) and the Eject button for the console then press the power button and hold until you hear a second start up noise.

If you are using the Xbox One All Digital console then you only need to hold the Sync button and then press the power button to reset.

You should now see a new screen. Scroll over to Restart/Reset and reset the console to factory settings. There is an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload them.

Fyi series consoles are just xboxes series x or s

Not xbox one series

Just to reduce the confusion

You gotta remember people mistake xbox one x for a series x when it comes to requirements for example flight simulator

With xbox one games they don't have a listing for s or x they are all compatible

Where series s or x just means digital or disk

Disk games don't work with series s or one s digital edition

Back to your problem.

Are you using an external hdd ?

Also when it slows down again is it because you are filling up your hdd?

As space becomes less computers do slow down

It would be better to get an external drive and put infrequent games on there so you don't too much things on your internal drive

You see, I'm connected to xbox and wifi transmission is standard without additional connections, but the screen slows down, the computer is on intel i5 8th generation, and xbox series s

I didn't notice the slow down until 60. It was VERY obvious at that point. No slow down at all at 50. Now my skill progress is at a snails pace.

What game are you having issues with your controller? I have a Windows gaming PC 10 and the Series S controller. After following the guide here, I haven't had any issues with my controller wired or via a wireless BT connection. Certainly no FPS slow downs.
