my Xbox series S factory reset itself

Just to confirm, are you an Insider program member who uses a preview build on your console? Or you only use the normal/public version?

It is unusual for an Xbox Series to factory reset itself without intentional action on the part of the user.

Your console may have received a system update while you were offline. In some cases, a major update may require your accounts and home screen to be set up again. Check for pending updates and make sure you install them correctly.

Make sure your Xbox Live account is active and there are no issues with it. If your account is disabled or if there is a problem with it, the console may restart and ask you to add the account again.

I have the xbox series s. I'm in the U.S. and I don't think I part of the program. And I've tries factory resetting my xbox and resetting the router.

Hello, all you have to do is redownload games. Everything should be saved on the cloud.
