My XBox Series S crashes regularly when playing Halo MCC

Other games such as Halo 5, Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 4 & 5 don't (or rarely) cause problems but Halo MCC crashes nearly every time we play it. Sometimes it's just the game and we get back to the home screen, often it shuts the XBox down completely.

I have 2 friends with XBox series S systems and they have no problems with theirs when playing Halo MCC.

I've read a number of threads on this issue and tried a lot of suggestions but nothing has made a difference. I think it must be a hardware fault, is there a download from Microsoft to enable me to check the hardware in the console or do I just have to send it back and ask for a new one? (it is still under warranty).

Given that I bought the XBox primarily to play Halo MCC this is incredibly disappointing.

I'm going to write it down a few suggestions, if any of those you already did, please, try again, and if none of those work, since your console is under warranty, I do advise you activate it.

First clean the cache of your console that way:

1. With the console turned on, hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until you hear a small sound.

2. Wait 10 seconds.

3. Turn it back on.

Note: It may take a while for him to call, don't worry, it's normal.

Then, restore your console keeping the games and apps:

***IMPORTANT*** If you share accounts with someone, you will have to redo the process of placing the account as the main one again, be aware of the chances you still have to do this, as Microsoft makes available per year, only 5 chances so you can make some account your console's main account.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the dashboard.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console Information >

The game is install on internal series S ssd. The game just seems to crash when I begin the first level of halo reach on the mcc collection. Thanks for the help.

I just started having this issue on my Series S today. I've played about 25 hours on F4 and had no crashes until I entered the Financial District. Now it crashes regularly. I'm going to try playing on my Series X tonight and see if the issues persist.

Edit: I encountered 0 issues for over 3 hours on my Series X tonight. So it seems like just a Series S thing for me, and really only in the Diamond City area.

Thank you for your response XBF. I already checked to see that the gamertag and email that was on my Xbox console matched the one that was on my Xbox app. However, when you say that Halo MCC is available on Xbox One and Series X does that mean that even though it does not work on the app if I sign on another Xbox One or get my own Series X the game will appear? I hope this is the case as I can live with MCC being on console alone, but if it does not appear when I upgrade to Series X then I'm going to have a problem. Is there another library other than the app I can use to confirm the presence of Halo MCC among my owned games.

I haven't played Halo MCC in a few months but I thought O. D. S. T. was in the list of games on MCC.
