    My Xbox seems to have "forgotten" my Microsoft ID/Password!


    I recently had occasion to change my MS Live id and it took some time to get the details set in Xbox (deleting old profiles and then creating and downloading the new profile. I was some way into Assassins Creed IV but because I had a new profile I had to
    start a new game. Now I find that whenever I try to use my MS ID Xbox does not accept it. I have gone back to my laptop and can access my Xbox account with that new ID with no problems. Only Xbox doesn't recognise.

    I have forgotten my windows ID and my password. My gamer tag is lakes77 and i am trying to get into my account. I have had a 360 for 3 years so i forgot the ID and the password in those years.

    It is very much possible that you have a different Microsoft account/email associated with your gamer profile on the console. It's possible as well that the gamer profile on the console is outdated/corrupted and needs to be re-downloaded. It's best to contact
    the Xbox chat/phone support regarding this.

    Then it is an option to try and remove the profile from the console and redownload it like mentioend on this link:

    Be sure to clear the cache and restart the console after removal of the profile and befor downloading it

    Hey there Pompano! Unfortunately, if the WLID attached to the GT is inactive or unable to be used, there isn't a lot we can do. Please try contacting phone and explain the issue outright to them and see if they can assist in updating. If not, your son would
    need to create a new GT and WLID to use, and ensure that this information is kept current in the future.
