My Xbox says it's wired in but I use wireless and it won't connect to Internet.

started around 2 hours ago and it's says its wired in even though I use wireless. It also won't connect to online. All other devices in my household are fine however.

Xbox live goes through network but not Internet

When I try to connect to Xbox live it goes through network but not Internet?? What do I need to do? I've tried to use wired and wireless and it still don't work please help, it says Internet error, I'm using wifi and my iPhone and laptop and ps3 all works
but my 360 won't???

Hi, I've recently bought a Xbox 360 and I am now trying to connect to the Internet. I go through the steps of goin setting- system settings- network settings. The screen only comes up with wired network and wireless network, if I click on wireless it says
" to use a wireless Internet connection connect an Xbox 360 wireless networking adapter to your console" but as it says internal wifi capability on the box I wouldn't of thought it needed an adapter. It won't seem to scan or anything like that, also have a
iPad and mac running wirelessly off the Internet.

 

Perform a network test from your console. If that doesn't helps remove your account from the console and download it again.

 

I've experienced this issue myself simply click on Set up wireless network. as soon as it opens back out that should fix it. Good luck

 

Also check and make sure there is nothing plugged into the Ethernet jack in back of the Xbox. Hope this helps also.
