My Xbox S won't turn on

My Xbox slim won't turn off. I have went through every single step, checked everything, even opened the xbox to check if there was a problem. There's no problem with the power cable.

How could this happen? I'm actually kinda angry of how my Xbox won't turn off just like that. The Xbox has been untouched for about 2-3 months.

I was playing a game and my xbox 360 S just randomly turned off. The light on the power brick was red, when I unplugged it, the red light went out. I have been told that my xbox 360 possibly overheated, or that the power brick needs to be replaced. I haven't
even had my xbox 360 for a year yet, and my last xbox 360 pro lasted for four years. If it does need to be replaced, would a game store like gamestop have the power brick for the xbox 360 S, I know they have it for the original xbox 360, but that won't work
for the xbox 360 S. Thank You!!

You say in the thread title that it wont turn on, however in the opening post it says that it wont turn off. Can you please clarify which one it is? Is there a problem with it shutting down or is it simply just non responsive at all.

Turn on, I was pretty mad when I wrote this, so I may have made a couple of mistakes.

I am sorry for taking out my anger on you, but I am really annoyed by Microsoft's products. I barely have money to feed myself, and I have to save up everytime for a game, and I tried to save up money to buy Watch Dogs, but now I can't because apparently
my Xbox, which I haven't touched for 2 months decided to leave me. Now I have to spend 100+ euros to repair my Xbox.

 

You have nothing to apologize for, it's quite alright. I understand the position you are in and I do sympathize but there is very little else to do I am afraid. It's unfortunate but these things happen. I hope what ever the outcome is, that its one you can
work through.

Erez Poex, We both are in the same boat, My Xbox was put away in its original box for a whole year.

Never moved the box until the day I wanted to play it, plug it in then nothing it doesn't turn on at all it immediately turns off within seconds of pushing the power on button. This is crazy its almost like it self destruct after the warranty. I'm speechless
on why its not working, and feel cheated out my money. I want Answers! I could understand if I played it everyday hardcore and it gave out, but I didn't if not I hardly played it when i got it. it was always put up until I got a good TV to play on. now i'm
down 300$ and have to pay another 79$ for a repair. Ive been surely scam out my hard earn money.
