My xbox only seems to overheat playing minecraft (Reported) (Beta ring)

It's the red ring of death. Yes, it's the slim. I'm not sure as to how it could possibly overheat when it's sitting on an entertainment center with airflow...? Not to mention my daughter is 7 so she's not playing it for hours on end. It's an hour at a time,
at most two of she had a friend playing with her. This is really frustrating. This seems like faulty parts are at play. It certainly wasn't made very well if it only lasted a year.

The "outdated client" error only comes up when a player is trying to join a world that is in the Xbox Insider Minecraft Beta preview ring. That's a mouthful, I know. This version of Minecraft is the Bedrock/W10 version but it just gives your Minecraft updates
more often.

Two scenarios could be true. Your friend is the one on the newer update provider through the Insider Program, or you are. If its your friend, they need to deselect the Minecraft preview ring and "revert" to play with you. This temporarily locks them out
of any world that is saved in a newer update until the public version receives that update. If you're the one in it, you need to deselect and "revert." You could also try looking up the "Xbox Insider Hub," joining it, and then joining the Minecraft beta in
order to play with your friend.

I appreciate the advice, but I'm not sure if you understand. Normally, when it overheats for real, I get the two red rings. But while playing GTA 5, I get the two red rings, but I can't feel any excess heat like if I were to keep my xbox running until it
actually overheats or even for a few hours. So, can certain games put extra strain on an xbox? If that's the case, then I can understand the extra cooling. I just don't want to put out the cash unless I'm sure it will help.

you can change rings in the xbox insider hub when yo manage the xbox update preview rings note that alpha and alpha skip ahead are invite only but you should be able to join the beta ring

This also happens for my original 1TB Xbox elite. Only overheats while playing NBA2K20, while all of my other games have played fine.
