My Xbox one x won’t display higher than 480

My xbox one x wont display higher than 480, yes my tv supports higher resolutions and yes I have tried different ports on the tv and different HDMIs but no luck. The option for 720 and 1080 are there but it gives a nosignal on the tv. I know for a fact
my xbox HDMI port works as it works well on other tvs and the tv im having this problem with detects signal at 1080 from my other devices. So at this point i have no idea what to do

X enhanced games are just for the one X not the S

As for 120hz though they can display it games are still max 60fps. The series x which is the next gen xbox will be able to do 120fps games

Does that mean, 'Xbox One X Enhanced' games also cannot run higher than 60fps? Only that frame rate performance is steadier and games that are uncapped at 30fps could see a higher boost in certain areas notorious for bogging it down?

Today it only displays at 600 x 480. Goes to blank when i up the res

UPDATE:

The smell has stopped, and the system is no longer overheating. I have performed a system reset, but it still doesn't display anything other than 640 x 480.

I'm going to start looking into options for repair.
