My XBOX One X suddenly appears as "OUT OF WARRANTY" on support site

On April 1st, having a faulty play and charge kit, i checked the microsoft support site and registered my XBOX one X.

It showed three years of warranty, and that I have the right to get a substitution on faulty accessories, so I placed an order

for a new free battery.

I was sent the prepaid label which I used to ship the faulty battery with UPS. Microsoft has received my shipment this morning according to UPS tracking, so I went to the support site to check the situation.

It doesn't mark my shipment as arrived but I understand the site could require some time to be updated,

what surprised me is...

My XBOX One X suddenly appears as "OUT OF WARRANTY" on support site.

I bought it on January 27, 2018. It showed as 3 years of warranty this morning, now it says i'm out of warranty?

How is this possible? I hope this is a momentary error.

I think this is a known issue and being investigated, When I check on the devices page my Xbox One X is also showing as out of warranty so I had an online chat with the Xbox support team who told me my Xbox One X is still in warranty.

You might wish to contact the Xbox support team directly using the link below selecting either the option to "chat with Xbox Support" or request a call from support to get reassurance about the warranty coverage of your console.

You would need to contact xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us and talking to them about the situation they may have you send in a copy of your receipt for purchase to get the warranty updated.

 

I have had the same thing happen with my Xbox One X, when I contacted support they confirmed the console was still under warranty and this was just a website glitch.

If you contact the support team directly they should confirm your console is still under warranty but the information on the website is just not correctly.

I suspected a glitch, seeing that it is a known issue that can happen reassures me.

 

I would still use the
Contact Us option just to get the extra reassurance from the support team.

 

A brief follow-up if anyone with a similar situation is interested:

- Chatted with support, they confirmed my warranty still is valid and my replacement had been shipped.

- Checked the support site a few days later and I could check the warranty indeed still is valid and the replacement battery shipment was under way.

- A brand new Play and Charge Kit arrived this morning.

I'm completely satisfied with the support service
