My Xbox One X keeps turning itself ON

update, it might be resolved with a soft factory reset of the console.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Are you referring to the power saving mode? The only options are instant on and that. As far as the HDMI cdc thing I tested that and it is not the problem.

Well, it is possible that it may be a bug with the update, but have you considered the fact that your console might just be missing you a lot?

To verify if it's a TV cable issue, just unplug the HDMI cable from your TV before turning the console off and see if the problem is still present

I was looking this up a bit on some third party sites and this seems to be occurring more frequently in the last week...I'm not trying to blame anyone (by all means it could be something on my end) but given that this has (supposedly) been reported a lot
recently, is it possible the latest xbox update is responsible? Does it affect the power or when the console is off or on? Just a thought...

SOme TV can power on the console via HDMI-CEC so you can disable this feature on your TV or change "istant power on" mode to "complete power off" on console.
