My Xbox One X hdmi says no connection

So i have an xbox one x and my xbox will turn on but the hdmi won't work i have tried it on different tvs and cables and it won't work the and my xbox wired controller will turn on bur will be in pairing mode the whole time and I don't know how to fix this

So are you saying you plugged your cable box into the HDMI passthrough on the One X?

If the cable box is defaulting to a lower resolution when connected into the Xbox One X's HDMI passthrough, you should be able to adjust the display output in the cable box's settings menu.

I'm sorry to hear that your HDMI is not working. Let's check what we can do.

Can you please try this:

Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off.

Remove everything that is connected to the console

Wait for 3 minutes, then connect the Power cord and HDMI cable.

Check if that helps. If the issue persists, it is possible that the HDMI port is broken. If that is the case, it is best to have it physically checked.

You can try submitting a repair order here. If that's not possible, you can take it to a local game shop to see if they can repair the console.

Log in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices using your Microsoft account credentials.

Click "Sign In."

Choose "Register Device" then select the device you want to have repaired.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your service order request.

yeah. cause I connected my comcast cable box to my xbox one X pass through HDMI.

I have a ps4 but I'll just connect the ps4 to my xbox one X so I can get a 4k picture on my PS4 slim and the Sound bar is connected to the xbox one x.

Both of my xbox one x say no signal and it being the hdmi ports both times.

When cable box goes through xbox one x the picture quality is degraded compared to when it is connected to tv straight. Not really resolution, theres more noise in the picture. Tried switching hdmi cables, inputs. Hopefully it can be corrected via software
update.
