    My Xbox One X has a bad home screen glitch


    When I try to boot up my Xbox, it will open the home screen as normal but after about 3 seconds, the screen will turn grey as if I went into a game. It will stay grey until you press the home button on the controller, and it will reset back to normal,
    but the moment you navigate the menu or home screen, it will repeat the cycle of the screen turning grey. I managed to get into Minecraft one time with this glitch but that was it.

    Hello MilkSergeant,

    Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that your home screen is grey after turning on your console. We recommend

    power cycling the console     by holding down the power button on the console for ten seconds. If this does not resolve the issue, we suggest performing

    a soft factory reset    . This type of reset will keep all games and applications installed, but it will remove all the profiles from the console. Be sure to let us know the results

    Quick update, tried to play Gears 5 on my Xbox One X today and the glitch was on my console too!!! It started on my PC and carried right over to my Xbox.
    [Mod Removed - See Guidelines] this has to be a some server glitch that carries over with your profile/sync. Wow this is really bad.

    Same here, when i press the home button, rather than bringing up the bar or anything the screen just gets dim until i press the home button again, returning me to my game. I cant change games or access my home screen without turning off the xbox, and even
    when i click my profile it just dims also. High contrast was already off for me. any ideas?

    I have the same issue. Somebody told me that the xbox one has to be online to play disks, even dvds. My xbox one x is online tho. I just get black screen then it reurns to home screen. Great if somebody here could shed some light on how to fix this.
