    My Xbox One X comes up with the error message E207 when you try to power it down before...


    So I’ve been lucky enough to get hold of an Xbox Series X & I now need to sell my One X. I’ve done a factory reset on it but i get a Somethings Gone Wrong ‘E207 00000000013’ error when powering off from the ‘Set up Xbox using app’ screen.

    If i follow the manual setup through of the Xbox as if i were a new owner the HomeScreen comes up with my gamertag and everything looks ok so i don’t know if it will actually be an issue for the new owner anyway but i dont want there to be any problems after
    i sell it.

    i’ve done a system update as suggested on the Xbox website but i still get the same messsge.

    Has anyone been able to resolve this or have any ideas ? It’s driving me nuts !!

    Thank you for coming to the Xbox forums, I'd be happy to help!

    There are many factors why you may not be able to send messages but the main one is when the profile is having issues syncing with the Xbox Live servers.

    What error messages are you seeing when trying to send messages?

    Are you on the Xbox One? If so, Go ahead and do a
    hard reset and power cycle    . Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
    turn on the Xbox.

    Try out the power cycle if on the Xbox One and let us know exactly what happens when trying to send messages.

    Do you get a specific error message when you try to connect? Let's start by power cycling your Xbox One console by holding the power button down for 10 seconds. After that, boot back up and give it another shot!

    Hey there,

    Can you post the specific error code and error message you receive when this occurs? In the meantime, let's try these steps out:

    • Press and hold the power button your Xbox One until the console fully powers down.
    • While your Xbox One is powered down, head over to your networking equipment and remove the power from both your router and modem and let it sit for 3 minutes.
    • After the time passes, plug your network equipment back in and give it a few seconds before powering on your Xbox One console to give it anothershot.
