    My Xbox One won't turn on properly


    Hi, I turned off my xbox one and when I tried to turn it on again a few hours later the button would light up, I could activate it from my xbox controller, but the screen wasn't showing and when I plugged in a headset to check if I could hear sounds through
    the controller by hitting the home button, nothing came out. So I held the home button, pushed up once off muscle memory to try turning it off, and it seemed to work. Then I turned it on again through the controller, and it turned on again, except the controller
    home button started flashing. The power button on the console wasn't working so I had to unplug the console. I've done the same thing a few times since in trying to get it to work. I know the HDMI cable is working fine, and the problem seems to be more than
    just not displaying video given the lack of sound through the controller and the controller losing connection to the xbox past turning on. The only other thing I was able to do was hold down the power button on the console itself to turn it off after 10 or
    so seconds and that worked to only turn it off, but the problem persisted.

    I would suggest getting your xbox cleaned for dust, if that doesn't work, i would suggest getting he power supply or fan looked at. If the system fan isnt working or the dust build up is too great, there is a chance the xbox won't turn on properly. If
    the power supply is suffering, their could be a similar effect. But the safest, fast, and cost effective route is getting your xbox cleaned for dust, due to the fact that your xbox may just need a cleaning but if that's not the problem, i would move on to
    the fan, and the last option would be the power supply.

    comes up, there'a a bit more problems than that and I'm sure I've been on this pending for 2months.

    Just to clarify, When you turn on the Xbox it won't turn on at all? Have you tried power cycling as suggested? Or made sure the TV source is set properly ?

    I would also like to add that "Xbox One turning itself on, usually late at night when I'm sleeping" is just your console updating even if it's not powered on.

    I think your problem is about the power supply, maybe an electric shock, the power supply protected your xbox, you have to get another one (power supply). Sometimes it can be repair but I dont know much about it.
