    My Xbox One Won't Read Fallout New Vegas


    I've been trying to install Fallout: New Vegas for a while with no luck. Whenever I insert the disc, my Xbox says that this isn't a backwards compatible. How can I fix this?

    I bought Fallout: New vegas about 3 weeks ago. I just bought the DLCs yesterday, and now Fallout cannot be read by my xbox. PLEASE HELP!

    Hey there, Jay!

    I'm sorry to see any disc reading errors! If you haven't already, tryout our Xbox One

    Error Insert Disc     troubleshooting steps. If you still have an Xbox 360, it may be worth it trying the disc on there, too.

    If it's working fine on an Xbox 360 (if you have access to one), it's likely that the disc drive is failing on the Xbox One. Do you have any other Xbox 360 discs or DVDs that you can try out? This will help out with confirming that.

    If you don't have an Xbox 360, then you will want to get a replacement disc to see if that works, or try on another Xbox One console.

    Let me know how it goes! We can look at our next steps if these don't help out. My Xbox One Won't Read Fallout New Vegas :)

    What is youre favorite Fallout game and why?

    I haven't played anything other than Fallout 3 and New Vegas, so I won't say one of those is the best by any means, but each of Fallout 3 and New Vegas have their own merits and are completely worth playing separate from each other.

    I liked Fallout New Vegas more than Fallout 3. I felt it had more variety.

    That being said, playing Fallout New Vegas corrupted my xbox. I was playing through the game and got the usual freeze, then when I turned my xbox off and on everything was gone.
