my xbox wont log on to any wifis ive got my broadband and my next door neighbours and my phone and its just saying cannot connect to dhcp servers can anyone tell me how i can fix this please

cant connect to xbox live

my xbox says that i am connected with an ethernet cord but wont let me connect. if i take the cord out it still says im connected with the cord and wont let me connect with wifi. when i ran the test it said it was my network.

 

I imagine your neighbor must be really bummed that you can't connect to their WiFi.

First i would Power Cycle both the Router/Modem you have and your Xbox One.

For routers/modems, switch the power off and unplug the power chord. Leave it off for a couple of minutes.

While that is being done, hold the power button on your Xbox One console, down for about 10 seconds until it completely powers off and the powerbrick (if you can see it) turns the white little light into orange/red.

After having been off for a couple of minutes, turn the Router/Modem on again and wait about a minute or two for it to fully function, and then turn on your Xbox One again.

Go into Network settings for your Xbox One, and see if you can connect to WiFi now.

If you still are getting the same errors, make sure to unplug or power off anything in the vicinity that is using any sort of Wireless connection, ie Phones, Tablets, Computers, Headsets etc. Then restart the Xbox One and try to connect again. Some wireless
devices may interfere with others wireless devices, and can cause network problems.

If you still can't connect and/or getting the same error message, then the next step would be to go into the configuration of your Router/Modem.

Opening up Ports that the Xbox One needs and even setting up a static ip address, ip address reservation for the Xbox One and even the MAC address.

Hard to tell you how to do this as i don't know your type or model router/modem.
