my xbox one won't download my brand new disc

@mister parks: I did what you suggested and in MY blops 2 folder, all i have are 2 save datas, a title update, and the nuketown download. Yes it's the only disc that won't read. It's also both of them, the old scratched one and the brand new one, both
say unrecognized disc.

Is this just the one game that won't play, or all Xbox 360 discs?

Is your Xbox connected to Live to download the latest system updates? If it's a brand new game you're trying to play, it might be that you don't have the update to allow the Xbox to read the new disc format.

Any other info you can give would help us to figure out the issue.

I do have digital titles. I havent tried it yet but the DLC packs for Black Ops 3 will download for me. I managed to get Halo 5 and Mortal Kombat installed but no other game. I just got my XBOX One S exchanged and I'm still having the same problem. I'd really
like to avoid buying brand new discs for these games. Is there anyway to trade them for digital copies?

Also, new issue. My XBOX One S controller won't power on. Even with new batteries.

Call of duty modern warfare 2 disc won't install all other discs work fine I have tried multiple copies of the game and all do the same and won't install I have power cycled the xbox

My friend had this same issue on his xbox one s. All other games worked fine except for the MWII disc which was brand new, just opened.

He got the store to give him a replacement disc (which was also brand new and sealed) and even then it still didnt work.

He had to practically beg them to give him a full refund so that he could just buy the digital version instead.

Thinking a bad batch of game discs got sent out to retailers.

Im also having this disc issue with L4D2 on my BRAND NEW Xbox one. Should have just stuck with 360.
