    My Xbox One won't connect to the internet via Ethernet port


    As of yesterday, my Xbox One had no problem connecting to the internet via Ethernet. Now today it is saying "Nat Type: Unavailable xbox.com/xboxone/Teredo Service info is unavailable" I tried a network connection test and it says "Can't get an IP address" I
    have power cycled both my Router and Xbox. I plugged the Ethernet into my PS4 and it worked perfectly fine, I was able to get online and play, so I know for sure it's not the cord nor is it my internet. If my PS4 has no issue picking up the IP address, why
    is my One having problems with it? Also, It worked perfectly fine yesterday, I don't see what has changed. I unplugged the Ethernet cord from the One and it can connect via Wifi fine. It says "Nat Type: Open All Services are available" Nothing has changed
    between yesterday and today, I prefer playing online on a wired connection, and can only do so through Wifi at the moment. I also tried all of the support trouble shooting provided on Xbox's website. None of it worked because it's an issue with the Xbox and
    not my internet. Is there something I'm missing?

    does ethernet xbox one download faster?

    I connect all of my consoles to the internet via ethernet cables. It's definitely the way to go.

    Not Being Able to Connect Via Hard Wired

    So I have a weird issue. If I connect my xbox to this one ethernet port in the wall my xbox connects. But when I plug in the ethernet cord to the ethernet port next to the xbox it will not connect. At first I thought maybe the port didn't work so I hard
    wired my laptop and it could connect to the internet no problem. The cable is brand new and it works with the one port for the xbox but not the other, so I know its not a bad connection on the cord or port in the xbox. Not really sure what to do, any ideas
    on how to fix this?

    Is the console being plugged directly into a modem or a router?

    Have you tested multiple ports for the cable and a brand new cable to be sure?

    If you have and everything is still not working let's have you
    factory reset the console.     Be sure to pick keep my games and apps on step seven so you don't have to reinstall them.

    Post back and let us know how that goes!

    How to set up a router to play on Live wirelessly?

    You should connect your modem directly to your new router. Then your PC is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable. Your Xbox will connect to your new router via wireless.

    Just take the Ethernet cable that goes from your modem to your PC and plug it into the back of the router, into the "Internet" port; not one of the four LAN ports. You will need an additional Ethernet cable to reach from one of the four LAN ports on the
    back of the router to your PC.

    Once your PC is connected to the router, you will need to use it to configure the wireless settings on your router. Once those are enabled and setup with a password, you can connect your Xbox via wireless

    You can not connect your Xbox to your internet via Ethernet through your laptop. The port on your laptop is to be plugged into your router or cable modem if you what your laptop to have a wired connection. If you want your Xbox to be wired, then you need

    Fiddled with bandwith and completed *another* console cycle with no results. However, used a wired connection to the router via ethernet and XBL is working with no trouble at all. Glad I didn't request a repair but now I'm in a situation where I can't connect
    my sky+hd box to the internet because I' using the Ethernet port on my router for the XBL. I now have no ability to record or even download on sky+HD because the one Ethernet port is in use with XBL. Help???.
