My xbox one will only read xbox one game discs and nothing else

I've had an issue with my xbox one for a while now where it will read any of my xbox one game discs fine. However, when I try to watch a blu-ray, listen to a CD, or try to put a xbox 360 game in nothing happens. I've tried the hard reset, restore to factory
default, clearing caches, removing accounts, reinstalling blu-ray and cd app, and even a strange technique where; you remove your account, hold the power button for ten second to turn it off, then while simultaneously holding the power button and the disc
eject button for 20 second or so that resets the video settings. None of these have helped and what I hear when I load a 360 game or blu-ray disc is two distinct sounds of the disc moving in the tray and then nothing. The xbox one disc start with that sound
but then you can hear the console making the other noises associated with it loading the content on the disc. My digital games, including xbox 360 games and movies work fine with no issues and it dosen't sound like a disc tray issue more like a software issue.
I just want to know what I need to do to get my xbox one to work properly any answer would really be helpful. Thank you for any useful information that you might have.

xbox one games do not read but other discs do

xbox one discs do not read on my console and produces a notice saying to clean my discs despite there beimng nothing wrong with them and some are brand new. the strange thing is that it is only xbox one discs. dvds and xbox 360 games do work. what do I have
to do to get my xbox one games working again?

Xbox One Disc reading issue

My one year old Xbox one doesn't read any backwards compatible Xbox 360 discs, spins for 2 seconds and stops , doesn't even attempt to spin , and then it will not eject , all games tried are backwards compatible. Xbox one discs read and spin with no issues,
has anybody else experienced this problem ?

It sounds like you have tried all the basic troubleshooting techniques and nothing has worked. I is probably time to get it repaired. Click on this link Xbox One Support | Xbox 360 Support | Xbox Live and Billing Support then scroll down to

Nope, it seriously just sits there and does nothing. It doesn't even say it's the wrong disc, nothing. Every single xbox one game reads with no issue at all, bot a 360 disc seems to just not work. Have I bought the only dodgy xbox one s?

I had three discs from different stores..

My brother had the same issue.

The last disc (which wouldn't read on my One X or my original Xbox one) works perfectly fine on my Series X.

It's not a faulty disc.

It's older drives and cross gen games.

My One X played everything else perfectly.

It's an issue with these cross gen x/s discs..

Nothing you can say is going to convince me otherwise..

id also like to add that i went and tried it on someone else's xbox who has one of the newer xboxs and it loaded on the first try there, so im thinking theres nothing wrong with the disc. why does the newer xbox read the game but not the older white one?
