My XBOX ONE Will Not Restart and Shuts Down During System Update

Before we start a repair order for your console, I would like you to try the solution below if possible.

Solution 1:

1. Turn off Xbox One.

2. Unplug power.

3. Plug the power back to Xbox One 30 seconds later.

4. Press and hold Bind and Eject at the same time (don't release).

5. Press and release the Power button, and then you will hear the startup chime.

6. When you hear the second startup chime, you can release the bind and eject buttons.

7. Select Reset this Xbox on the screen.

8. Select Keep games and apps.

*If that doesn't work, try the same method again, but this time choose not to keep your games and applications as they may be the cause of the problem due to corrupted files.

*If this doesn't fix the problem too, initiate a repair order for your console, keep in mind that consoles sold by Microsoft have a 1-year warranty, if your console is no longer within this period, you will need to pay for repair. You can check this information through the link below.

just restarted, tried to update one of the many updates that I cannot get to work. System crashed and shut down -__-

Does the console shut down every time that it get's to 50% on the system update section? What step during the update does it shut down?

[*]Go ahead and do a
hard reset and power cycle the Xbox. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect
and turn on the Xbox to try the process again.

Bump. Mine does literally the exact same thing. Endless cycle of hitting 100%, restart is actually shutdown, then when I force restart it then it does the update again.

Hello Lizrad, if it is restarting, try doing an Offline Update on your console.
