My XBox One will not finish disc installation, please assist

Please follow the steps below to sort out the issue.

Solution 1: Clear your local saved games.

Eject the disc from your console.

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage devices.

Select Clear local saved games.

Note Selecting this option will not delete any games or progress you have saved in the Xbox cloud. It will only clear data you have saved locally.

Select Yes to confirm.

Once your console restarts, try installing the game again.

Solution 2: Install the game in offline mode.

Step 1: Use your console offline

Follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

Select Go offline.

Step 2: Cancel the download

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and then select My games & apps > See all.

Select Manage > Queue.

Highlight the game you’re trying to install and press the Menu button  on the controller.

Select Cancel.

Step 3: Eject the game disc and power cycle the console

Eject the game disc.

Press and hold the Xbox button  to open the Power Center.

Select Restart console.

Select Restart.

Note If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button  on the console for about 10 seconds until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button  on the console again to restart.

Step 4: Install the game

After the console restarts, insert the disc. Follow the steps to install the game.

Note Make sure you do this before you reconnect to the internet.

Step 5: Go online and let the game update install

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

Select Go online.

Try to install it first only the disc content. When, in the beginning of the instalation will pop up a message asking to choose if you want to install update at same time. Dont use this option, use install only disc content. Then after the installation of disc is finished, take the disc out, go to game management, look for the update in updates tab, install without the disc.

When it finishes, put the disc in and see if you come up with the same error.

the notification appear on xbox is , To complete the installation,insert the disc again...we need the disc to finish.(0x80070015),

if I insert the disc again and then resume installation...after i finish the installation it will be work with out disc and the disc will be work in any anther xbox

Games purchased digitally will automatically download and install the updates.

But games you purchased retail (i.e. disc-based) will require you putting the disc in the drive in order to finish the installation of the update.

PS4 updates both digital and disc media games regardless. I wish Xbox One would do this.

I find it utterly annoying to have to feed disc after disc into the X1 just to finish the installation of the update.

I downloaded my games and haven't been able to load them after.

I keep getting the message "installation is almost done: if you have a game disc, please insert it now. otherwise, make sure the person who purchased this is signed in to Xbox Live, then choose finish"

I am the only one signed it, only account on my Xbox, and it doesn't give me the Finish option.
