My Xbox one video output isn’t displaying

If Ron's advice about resetting the video settings doesn't work, try a different HDMI cable, different HDMI port on your TV, and different TV/monitor if possible, just to rule out the issue being one of those things.

If it does turn out to be a hardware failure that's causing it, often it's the HDMI port or HDMI scaler chip that's at fault, rather than the APU itself, which are cheap parts, but not easy to replace unless you have advanced soldering skills/equipment. If the console is out of warranty, see if you can find a well-reviewed third party repair place that can take a look at it, as it's one of the most common repair jobs carried out on Xbox consoles.

Please do the steps below in sequence to reset your console's video output settings.

If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

On the console, press and hold the Power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

Press and hold the Power button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).

Note If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, press and hold the Xbox button  and the Pair button  instead, as your console doesn’t have an Eject button.

In either case, this will start up your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480).

The Xbox One can only output at 720p and 1080p. If you TV does not support 1080p then it will only display at 720p from the Xbox One, as the Xbox One does not output 1080i at this time.

It seems like a resolution problem or HDMI cable. Try check the display

configuration from the console to "Video output" -> "Advanced video settings".

Have you gone into your Xbox video settings. From Xbox settings go to Display & Sound, then go to Video output, then under the Advanced menu go to Video fidelity & overscan. Then under display make sure HDMI is highlighted NOT auto detect. A window will
pop up saying use manual settings. from here you may need to setup your resolution to 1080p or 4k, depending on what your display output is.
