    My xbox one turns my tv on when I turn it off


    My Xbox one turns on my tv while turning off, it started after I brought my Xbox back from a birthday party I was at. We put the Xbox on a different HDMI than it was originally, now while it turns off, it turns my TV on. I have also noticed that after this
    happens, the Xbox is still not off, the fan will be off, but the system itself is still on. Does anyone know why this would happen?

    xbox sends reverse commands to my direct tv box

    When I turn my xbox one on it turns my direct tv box off, when the one goes off the direct tv comes on. How do I fix this?

    try turning your xbox one on with your tv off - then turn on your tv.

    i find with mine when i switch inputs i need to turn my tv off then on for it to pick it up.

    Me too... but I having a bigger problem now with turning on my Xbox One with instant on and with TV turn on features. when everything is "off" TV and Xbox, I say "Xbox, ON" Xbox lights up but most times it keeps blinking and will not turn on my Samsung Smart
    TV and even the Kinect and Xbox won't boot up. I have to hard restart the Xbox but I still have to turn on my TV Manually, but when I do that and the Xbox calls for the TV to be Turned on it actually turns the TV off. I Never Had this Problem before.

    Hey xBATTLEFEILDx,

    It sounds like this could be one of two problems. One is that you could have incorrect video settings on your xbox. To reset it, follow these instructions.

    1.Make sure the disc drive is empty.

    2.Turn off the console.

    3.Turn the console on using the guide button on the controller.

    4.As the console boots up, press and hold Y while pulling right trigger on the controller.

    This will reset the display settings and restart the console.

    If this does not solve your issue, look through your tv settings. There might be a setting on your tv governing inputs that is on (or not on). Look through and see if any of them could cause this. If this does not work, or if you have any questions, let
    us know.
