My Xbox one starts when i use netflix on my laptop

Sorry to hear you are running into this weird situation. This happens every single time without fail? Console will be off and as soon as you launch Netflix on the Laptop your console will simply power on?

When this happens, go ahead and
Physically Power Cycle your Xbox One and then do the same thing over and see if it continues. If it continues go ahead and Factory

Reset your Xbox One Keeping Games & Apps. This will keep all your games and applications untouched but it will remove all accounts from the console so make sure you have the login information to any account on the console.

Once the console is set up, Turn off the Xbox One and then give it another try.

i use wired for my tv(netflix) xbox360 and wii u. my laptop is the only one i use wirelessly

i am having the same problems while trying to use netflix on my xbox 360. when i turn on xbox it connects to xbox live fine, i can play games onl;ine ok. the problem starts when i connect to the netflix app, as soon as it show my netflix page ie:signed in
to netflix my connection drops and all connections for all pc and laptops are too. then after a min when all the other pc/laptop are connected back up xbox shows a upgrade to gold subscription page.

i contacted the help via chat on xbox.com. we went through a lot of stuff they had me delete my profile and redownload it and clear system cache and when it was obvious they did not know what the problem was they just disconnected from the chat.

this is really annoying, i pay for my gold subscription monthly and only lately has there been problems. i got a netflkix account only because it was on xbox and i cant even use it.

this is obviously a major problem as many are having problems and its about time it was looked at..

forgot to say i use xbox on a wired network on a 50mb internet connection

It's not just games though, for me anyway. It's like my xbox one is stuck using a terribly low amount of my bandwidth and therefore is taking forever to do game updates. Even netflix has to stop and buffer a simple 40 minute tv show episode, where as on
my 360 I could stream netflix and surf the net on my laptop at the same time.

Something is clearly affecting my xbox one's ability to utilize my internet speed.

I too am having this problem when trying to log into Netflix. The Kinect will recognize me with no issue, and I can sign in manually no issue, but I get this error when testing my network connection when Netflix can't connect. I've no problems accessing
Netflix via my laptop, Galaxy S4, Nexus tablet, ChromeCast or my older PS3.
