    My xbox one screen is black,


    When starting the xbox, I see the green start up screen with the xbox symbol but there is no progress after that. I have tried resetting the xbox without success. I have powered down, restarted after 10 minutes and held down the power button and eject button. This altered the display resolution but I was unable to change the resolution. When I hold down the xbox button on the controller I can see the power off/reset options but cannot access the settings. Can anybody help?

    XBox One X keeps turning off

    No it does not turn the screen black but one time I was playing fortnite and then suddenly my screen turned black and I had to turn of my xbox. P.S. I liked your joke!

    I bought my Xbox One S in December 2018 and currently i'm experiencing 2nd black screen in a few months.

    I got first black screen in January 2019 and got my xbox fixed by Microsoft. Now in June 2019 i got 2nd black screen. So frustrated!

    I'm curious what did they fix? What is causing black screens? I'm also playing my games on external hard drive to not strain the internal hard drive but black screen keeps happening.

    I've tried troubleshooting steps (except the usb update cause i don't remember my dashboard version and i still have black screen) so i'm confused nothing works.

    I'm thinking if it gets fixed for a 2nd time i'm going to sell my Xbox One S and buy an Xbox One X so maybe i would have better luck with different hardware. I really don't know... my white Xbox 360 Pro is still alive and never got red ring of death and
    Xbox One S keeps breaking with black screens. I'm lucky with Xbox 360 but so unlucky with Xbox One S. I'm so disappointed with Microsoft hardware.

    XBOX One Black screen of death.

    I'm now experiencing what appears to be the same issue as Terrell Watson. My xbox had started behaving glitchy and slow for the past week or so. Then today at start up my Xbox One was stuck at the green loading screen for 10 plus minutes before the screen
    went black. My Xbox One then hung on a blank black screen forever sometimes displaying an icon for a few seconds before going completely black again.
