My Xbox One S wont show up on screen.

I've been trying for an hour or so to see if there's any other people having this problem, but they're all saying that the tv is not picking up the xbox signal at all, that's not my problem. My problem is that I turn it on, I can hear the starting up sound and the welcome sound, but instead of the screen displaying "No Signal" it's not displaying anything, just a blank black screen which won't go away no matter what I do. Is there anything I can do or is the xbox just a lost cause at this point?

Hello Jonathan_RXE, try following the procedure below, however before doing so try changing the HDMI cable of the console or try the console on another TV or Monitor if possible.

Bind Eject Xbox One

Turn off the console and unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely turned off.

Wait 30 seconds and plug the power cord back in.

Hold down the BIND (located at the bottom front of the console) and EJECT (located on the front of the console) and press the Xbox button on the console.

NOTE: Bind is the pairing button of the control.

Continue by pressing the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10 to 15 seconds.

Listen to the two tones of "activation", with a few seconds of difference between them.

Release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second activation tone.

If your console is the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, it doesn't have the EJECT button. You can turn on Xbox Startup Troubleshooting on this console by keeping only the BIND button and then pressing the Xbox button.

When you're on the recovery screen, choose the "Reset while keeping games and Apps" option.

Thank you for coming to the forums, I'd be happy to provide some information.

It seems that your Xbox may be experiencing a software malfunction in regards to the HDMI functionality, but I suggest doing some troubleshooting on the power supply unit. Go ahead and do a

hard reset and power cycle. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
turn on the Xbox. Make sure you have the Xbox plugged directly into the power outlet as that is the recommended setup.

Let us know if power-cycling the Xbox changes anything.

I went through all the steps but it still wont completely start up it still shots off after 5 seconds in doesn't even boot up onto my screen. This is my second Xbox One S in 3 months and I'm very concerned with why this keeps happening.

My xbox one s is doing the same thing. Shows green xbox title screen, then no dashboard; just a black screen. Was playing it roughly 7 hours ago... WHY
