My Xbox One S was stolen. Can I track it?

It's very important, the first thing you need to do is follow the steps outlined in "What to do if your Xbox gets stolen" and change the password for your account.
Unfortunately, unlike cell phones, Xboxes do not have built-in GPS and its location setting is really only there to know what region and time zone the Xbox is in. It is true that if someone starts up a new Xbox Live account with your stolen Xbox, that serial
number will show up in account.microsoft.com/devices for that new account. However, it's my understanding that only the
Enforcement Team can take any actions.

Change the password for you Xbox live account and the microsoft account that use your Xbox account as soon as you can to be on the safe side. Make the passwords as complex as you feel you need to,with symbols and capital letters and write them down so you
can remember them. Have you contacted the police in your area? Do so and tell them everyting you can.

If you haven't already, you would need to file a police report with your local police and they would be the ones to have to contact Microsoft to see about tracking it down. There is no way for you to track it yourself.

I have a friend whose xbox one was stolen from his house. I went online to play and noticed that the person that stolen the Xbox one is playing on my friends account. Is there a way to track down the theif so my friend can get his xbox one back?
