    My Xbox One S not reading any disk(even brand new disks)


    Bought my Xbox one s around 7 months ago, since buying the console it hasn't move from the position I first put it in. Like a month ago I started having a problem with reading Xbox 360 backwards compatibility games(Black ops 2) I had to eject the game several
    times for my Xbox one s to read the game. Since the first time that happened it's gotten worse and worse. Got to a point were I've bought a brand new game to try in my Xbox to see if it was the game or the Xbox and it's not reading any game( Xbox 360 or Xbox

    Disk won’t read. Xbox one

    I have an original Xbox one that has started not reading disk. I have tried game disk, dvd, and blue ray. Sometimes I get the can’t read disk error and sometimes it won’t even recognize the disk. Any ideas?

    Try some troubleshooting steps from this guide to see if there´s any change in your situtation:

    Troubleshoot Xbox One Disc Errors

    If none of this works and your Xbox still refuses to play any Disc, you would need to create a service request over here:

    http://devicesupport.microsoft.com/

    Login with your Account, register your Console there if you havent already done that. After that click on your Console, select your problem and follow the steps to create a Service request.

    Lol no surprise. My 360 gave me 3 dirty disc drive errors even on a brand new system.

    Mass Effect Legendary Edition problem

    I updated to the latest OS on the One S (offline as I don't have anything but mobile net atm) and ran a laser lens cleaner through it for good measure and now it's reading the disk fine.

    As other disks where working fine I'm pretty sure the disk cleaner was overkill.

    You might want to add what version of Xbox OS a game needs on a game case so people don't just assume their brand new $60 game is defective...

    MW3 disk read problems

    It depends alot on what brand of disk drive has been installed into your console, i have a 4 year old xbox that plays any disks including MW3 and BF3 and other new games. Sounds like you have one of the disk drives that has been affected by the new dashboard
    update maybe or just has trouble reading that disk only. Xbox 360 and 360s consoles do not come with a standard disk drive they seem to use what ever is in stock at the factory so some people have this issue and others don't. I have this problem with my new
    slimline sometimes i have to put in a game or DVD 2 or 3 times but my 4 year old console works everytime no problems.
