    My Xbox One S has power to it but my Samsung smart tv is saying that there is no power...


    Hey everyone, I need help to figure out the problem with my console. When I turn on the console and the TV it is saying that I need to turn on my system. But the power is on my gaming system. Can anyone give me any insight on what the problem may be or how
    to fix it.

    Do you have a spare HDMI cable to test with?

    Also make sure the cable is plugged into the correct HDMI port. It should be in the HDMI out port

    If you have another tv in house i would try to hook it up to it and see what results i get. Easy Way to determine if you have a faulty HDMI Cord. If it does work on other tv then you know cord is good and it must be something with the original tv you were
    trying to hook up to.

    Check this support, Setup new system for steps to resolve your issue.

    It may be something as simple as the wrong HDMI socket or a faulty cable, or incorrect SOURCE on the TV.

    I have a solution that works for me when this happens. Both the xbox and modern (Samsung) smart tvs don't fully restart when you power them off. Restarting the xbox does not seem to do much, but restarting my samsung tv does clear it up!

    To *fully* restart your Samsung tv use the remote control and _hold down_ the power button for 10s or so, until the Samsung logo briefly appears. Then power on your tv as normal and play your game.

    The wired or wireless connection is handled through your router, not the Samsung Smart TV. Samsung Smart TV has nothing to do with Xbox One. Connect the Xbox One directly to your wireless or wired router, not your Samsung Smart TV.
