My xbox one S freezes and shuts down in downloaded games

When i play a game in 10-15 minutes the xbox goes off, i check the power cord is fine and ventilation is a bit hot

i already tried to erase cache but nothing

my xbox is new and i don't have cd games only game pass

Hello, My Xbox one s , will sometime freeze and shut down. I do not think it is heat none of the vents are blocked and it sets in a open area. Some times it will stay up and running for hours, while on The TV tuner or games then it shuts down. I can cut
it back on seconds after it shuts down.

 

Forza 7 not loading

Just downloaded forza 7 2 days ago and haven't been able to play it. At first it would freeze after the turn 10 studios screen. After doing a bunch of stuff I get to the gender select screen. I select Male and it freezes and shuts
xbox off. I've done a bunch of full shut downs. I've cleared all my game cache. I've tried playing off line. I've tried removing my account off of the xbox. And I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Also tried holding the power button and eject button
to reset screen resolution. Any other ideas would be appreciated. All my other games play fine. Thanks. Xbox One S.

 

When you say your xbox goes off does it just power off? requiring you to turn it back on. This might be a faulty piece of hardware you can buy an xbox power cable first to see if that is the issue. if not you will need to go and see if you have warranty
on the console and ship it back for repair:

Firstly, how do you have the console orientated? Is it horizontal or vertical? If it's vertical, be sure you're using the stand, otherwise you're blocking the ventilation.

Where is your console located?

Secondly, how is your console connected to the power? Don't use a surge protector. Make sure your console either connected directly to the mains, or via a known working plug strip that isn't surge protected.

Whether your games are downloads or discs makes no difference as disc games have to be installed to the hard drive anyway.

If it's somewhat new, then it could be something with how you have it connected to it's power source (the wall outlet).

Make sure you plug it in directly as that is the best way to have it for how the console is designed to deal with power.

This could be also a potential software glitch as well

I suggest you either Power cycle the console using
these steps.

If it still has any problems, then try the steps here to
reset your console and keep games and apps.

That should clear if of any potential glitchy data, as well as make sure the console is as updated as possible.
