My Xbox One S doesn't start

Hello. I am writing because I need help!

I bought an Xbox One S 3 weeks ago and it has always worked perfectly (in fact, I have only used it for three days).

The problem is that I tried to turn on my Xbox yesterday and, to my surprise, it did not work. I checked cables and they were all properly connected (HDMI and Power ON). I noticed that when I turned the console with the controller, the usual green light
which appears in both control and machine was not green but WHITE.

What is more, TV screen was always blue, as if it didn’t recognize the console. I though it could be a TV problem, so I decided to connect my Xbox on another TV but it was the same result: it didn't work...

Can anyone help me, PLEASE? The machine is new; how can this happen?

My Xbox doesn't start anymore

Hi, this morning I got a bad news: my xbox one didn't got powered on from my controller, so I started manually.

But it gave me a black screen for several minutes, so I forced a poweroff.

Then I tried to power on again, but it gave me the error E200 00000074.

I followed the instructions on the Xbox Support Site, but I did not made a factory reset because I don't want to lose saved games.

Following the guide I tried to install via usb the update OSU1, but it gave me the error E101 00000504 8B050041 and now I'm stuck here.

What's the problem? What did it cause it? Yesterday it was working well

Have you tried getting a pin and pressing the reset button... Maybe that will reset it and it will work.

 

You can try to do a factory reset on startup, follow this steps:

- Have your console fully shutdown.

- Press and hold EJECT (disk eject) and BIND (controller sync button on console) both at same time and hit power button on console and keep pressing the other two.

- Should a appear a screen with 4 options, that is the troubleshoot on startup, you gonna have both factory resets, keeping all games or delete everything, you can try first keeping all games.

See if works and let us know

I still get a WHITE LIGHT on both console and controller....

Normally on an Xbox One S and One X the power button has a one light.

If this is still a concern, I would recommend replacing the power cable. Check to see if anyone, like family or friends, has a power cable that can be used instead of buying one right away. If it is not the power cable then try checking the HDMI cables as
well.

Thank you everybody. This is what happened:

I could finally reset my Xbox One S and everything seemed to be working properly. Since the machine was reset, I had to change screen configuration (from 640x480 pixels to 720x1280 pixels).

After I changed screen configuration, I started having problems on the screen. The image seemed to appear and disappear all the time. As a consequence, I got in touch with a Microsoft agent who suggested different solving methods…but none of them were successful
(I changed cables, used another TV or plug, but nothing worked!) So he advised me to make use of the guarantee because there was nothing left to do.
