    3D movies on disc but not compatible through app?

    I have played 3D movies with 3D blu-ray discs on the Xbox One (connected to a BenQ 3D projector), but when I try to play a 3D movie I downloaded through the Vudu app, it claims the device is not compatible. Is the Xbox One capable of playing 3D movies through
    apps, or does it only work with discs? Thanks

    No 3D Blu-ray support??????

    Can't play my 3d Bly ray's awe well I can always do a pirated version of the 3d movie I own but all this does is entice piracy. The XBOX ONE is supposed to be THE ONE not THE ONE plus my PS3 for 3D BLURAY. As a 10 year Xbox live member and loyal customer
    I am very disappointed if there is no 3D support of BLURAY movies as I own many.

    The Xbox One S is certainly capable of playing 3D content including 3D Blu-rays. What happens when you try exactly? Can you please provide any error message or error code? Does this happen with all 3D Blu-ray titles or just one?

    I had the same problem until I noticed that the Bluetooth on my tv was turned off . Make sure if you are using active 3d to enable the Bluetooth on the tv . After enabling your 3d should work . I'm using a Sony 4k xbr55x850c and initially the 3d was not
    responding till the discovery of the Bluetooth being off

    3D Blu-ray movies no longer play in 3D mode

    I have noticed that some 3D blu ray movies work perfectly fine and some don't. My tv automatically detects if a 3D format is playing and 3D turns on. I tested out OZ the great, the 3D signal would turn on but the signal would get lost as soon as the movie
    starts. But then I tested Transformers 3 and the 3D signal does not get lost and works perfectly fine the entire movie. Lastly I tested How to train your dragon 2. With this movie the 3D signal does not get recognized by the Tv at all.

    As you can tell the 3 different blu rays I tested all gave different results.

    I tested this on the new Xbox One S. Tried turning off 4k features and still get same problem.

    My TV is a 2016 model: LG UH8500. Supports 3D, 4k, HDR-10, Hdmi 2.0, HDCP 2.2.

    3D Blu-ray movies no longer play in 3D mode

    Same problem here. I have a new Xbox One S, and an LG OLED55E6V. I cannot get 3D to work consistently. With Avatar 3D Edition it does not start in 3D but if I change channel on the TV suddenly the 3D signal is detected and it then works to watch the movie.
    Batman vs. Superman, same thing, does not start in 3D but if I change channels and come back to the Xbox channel it then gets picked up. With Avengers, the menu system is in 3D but as soon as the movie starts it drops into 2D and then there is no way to get
    it back into 3D.
