My Xbox one s controller is not working properly

So it stared when I was playing a game when my controller was causing my game not to work as it should and usually does. I think it’s called double scroll But whenever I try to scroll weather its with the d-pad or analog sticks it always seems to double school. I would press the d-pad right one time but it would scroll twice not once and same with my analog sticks can someone help me please

Same issues here. Bought a new Xbox one s bluetooth controller to replace my 360 pad, and it either works briefly then stops, the button presses are incorrect or doubled. Some games and steam see it as two controllers. The whole reason I bought an xbox pad
for the pc is for the ease of plug and play and compatibility and no fussing around. Yet, Microsoft seems to have messed it properly with xbox one controller support on windows. Back to my wired 360 pad I go.

Since you said you’ve had the Xbox for several years, is this an original Xbox one or an Xbox one S? And I’m just making sure I got this clearly down, your controller or any other controller and it does the same thing on your console, correct? Have you tried
your controller on another system to see if it works properly

I have the same issue with my xbox one controllers, however my xbox one s controller still works!
