    My Xbox one run's hot

About two days ago my Xbox one started to run hot. It smells like the mother board is burning I have tried to fix it by putting on top of one the exhaust ports a laptop cooling plate to move the hot air out faster but it has not worked. Any thoughts to fix
    it.

    :)

Just bought the new Xbox 1 Forza 6 bundle!

That's crazy. My old Xbox 1 got hot and this new one definitely gets hot, I even asked the guy at the Microsoft store if an Xbox One getting hot is normal and he told me it is

    Hi

As long as the console has sufficient ventilation I would suggest you gently vacuum any dust from the fan area to see if that helps but other than that it sounds like a fan could have failed and you may need to send you console for repair.

    Xbox running hot

    Hey there MidnightRun35!

It is normal for the Xbox One to produce warmth during game play. Although, if you believe your console is running hotter than normal and it's causing issues (freezing, sudden power off, etc) please post back and let us know. You can also check out this
Xbox One Ventilation article for tips on giving your console some breathing room!

    Xbox running hot

It does get quite hot after a time, but that's normal. The console has built in sensors that monitor the temperature, so if the system gets too hot it will turn itself off to prevent damage. If your fan wasn't functioning at all, I expect that your console
would be turning itself off all the time as heat would no longer be being drawn anyway from the internals.
