    My Xbox One original console wont let me play any games. : Power issue


    My Xbox One original console shuts off and power supply looses power and the conductors heading into the console are burning hot. No light or power untill full disconnection for 10 seconds. This consistently happens into a few minutes of running games only.
    It varried over time to the comes and goes of the ways to get around the isuee software wise(online or offline gaming,troubleshooting pages,memory wipes,enviroment and equiptment changes, ect) but has unfortunatly come down to once again being unable to play
    any games ive paid for. As consistent as they are complex , there are different and some reoccurring "episodes" that happen all year round that render this multi billion dollar company made equiptment that I have put time, money and hard work into for the
    past few years, Useless. To be specific useless outside of an atractive looking, time consuming , financial pit fall with a vicious tease .Between a variety of convergingly inconvenient account security protocols and connectivity issues , there has ben a re
    occuring theme of long term inability to use the merchandise, but can turn it on and operate 10-45% of it as a whole unit. Missing the important half of course. This episode of power struggle is the newest as well as the longest overall time experienced technical
    issue I've encountered. Its ben 6 months with this single issue .What do i do. There are millions of Microsoft customers experiencing and writing about the same devistating issues. Yet as the years go by the service resources diminish and micro transactions
    expand, Im left waiting for a call in advanced any where from a few hours or more or be stuck with a cycle of half aimed long automation and help services that in end send you back to the same point of origin from your troubleshooting process to avoid the
    becoming clearler relization of the more efficient long term choice of buying another company made and supported console. Please help, Microsoft and Xbox have ben so fun and meaningfull to my family for over a decades And after all busniess is business. I
    feel robbed.

    Hello!

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand your console is having trouble staying on while trying to play games, is that correct? It sounds like your power supply may be experiencing issues. Do you have any friends
    or family members that may be able to let you test your console out on their power supply? Also, I recommend calling up your local GameStop(s) and asking if they might be able to let you use one of their power supplies to troubleshoot with there in store.
    That way we can determine whether it's the Power Supply Unit or the console itself that needs to be addressed. Let us know with a reply how it goes.

    Sorry to hear you are running into these issues with the console. What Xbox One is this, Original, One S, or the One X?

    Go ahead and follow the troubleshooting links below to troubleshoot this no power issue, Going through those should let you know if the console might need to be serviced or if the Power Supply Unit on the Original Xbox One needs to be replaced (If this is
    the console you own of course)
