My Xbox One keeps shutting down

So everytime I turn my console on it will shut down, I have my xbox on HDMI1 on my TV and everytime I turn my console on it says check your signal even though everything is fine when it comes to that, but it will keep saying check your signal and eventually
my console will turn off (about a minute later) I have tried unplugging and plugging my console back in I have even tried resetting my console but nothing seems to work (it was working completely fine earlier today and all of a sudden this started to happen)
if anyone has any tips I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi Lime,

Is the xbox sitting somewhere with decent ventilation?

I had an issue like this where the xbox would start up but no signal would go to the tv. I also swapped over cables etc and it would also power down due to the lack of signal.

For me it was a case of the back of the xbox not getting enough ventilation, once id moved it and cleared anything away from the back and cables i eventually got the green ventilation warning screen.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to hopefully deal with this shut down problem. I can totally see how this could be pretty discouraging. The console should turn off automatically due to being inactive by default but that could be manipulated
in Settings. If you're unable to get the screen to come up and it turns off, not only could it be due to the HDMI, or it could be the console experiencing some kind of hardware issue. If your console does not show anything after trying another HDMI, it would
seem that there is something up with it. If you would like a repair, you can always try setting one up in

device support or by contacting
customer support and having an agent outline your options directly.

Hello and thank you so much for helping, but is it normal for the console to turn off if its the HDMI cable?

The system is likely shutting down because it's not detecting an HDMI connection. You checked the cable on a PS3, but have you tried a different HDMI cable?

Also make sure the Console and TV are both off when you initially connect the cable to avoid any handshake issues,

Do you have another monitor you can check it on as well.

If all that fails it may very well be the HDMI port.
