My Xbox One keeps shutting down without warning. Probably not overheating. Help.

This morning, while I was playing Sunset Overdrive, my Xbox One shut off without warning. I figured it was a fluke – something bumped the power cord, I had an otherwise-imperceptible power surge, whatever – but it happened again when I restarted the console.
I waited until after work and tried it again twice, but the same thing keeps happening. Help me.

The vitals:

• No history of this happening before this morning, despite >3-hour gaming sessions per day for the last week
  
• Random shutdown occurs without warning of any kind (e.g., no overheating warning, et cetera)
  
• I've ruled out the power source as an issue
  • Xbox One power brick light goes from a solid green when console is running to a solid orange upon shutdown
    
• Console doesn't appear to be overheating
  • Doesn't feel warm to the touch
  • Placed horizontally on a flat, wooden surface with no obstructions to airflow
    
  • Again, no overheating message prior to shutdown
• I've only been playing one game: Sunset Overdrive
  • Appears to occur only during gameplay
  • Currently on "La Venganza" side-quest for Las Catrinas in Act 4 – console shuts down before I can complete the mission
    
• Only turns back on by power button press (not by controller)

Please let me know if anybody knows why this is happening or if someone has a solution to it. If you need any other information, feel free to ask.

Xbox one randomly shutting off

My Xbox one keeps shutting off randomly, when it does this I have to reset to power brick in order for it to power on again. It's not overheating because I never get a warning saying that it is, sometime it will shut off even if it's cold

 

Xbox One S keeps shutting off

My xbox keeps shutting down and I dont know why. It's not hot there are no red lights or overheating messages it just keeps turning itself off. First it was doing this anytime Netflix was loaded or Hulu but now it's doing it when
I play my game. Please someone help

 

Hey, have you tried using any other applications or games to see if it is a problem with the game?(Most likely not) I've had a similar problem but I was able to use it again after waiting a bit.

 

@WillYum: I don't own any other games yet, but I'll try Netflix and report back. I've been troubleshooting on my own for the last hour or so and found that the problem persists even when I'm playing Sunset Overdrive without the disc in the drive. (I didn't
even know you could do that.)

 

Update: I logged into Netflix and streamed about half of Skyfall, so maybe it is exclusively Sunset Overdrive. I've uninstalled the game and am reinstalling with the hope that it just went janky somewhere along the line.

 

After uninstalling and reinstalling Sunset Overdrive, the problem persists. Anyone have any idea why this is happening and what, if anything, can be done about it?
