My Xbox one keeps doing a Buzz then stops reading discs and scratches my disc

Even though you install the game from the disc on your hard drive the xbox still needs to confirm that you own that game.

When a disc gets scratched it matters how many scratches are on the disc and how deep those scratches are. The laser still needs to read the disc and if it can't read the data through the scratches then it will cause an error.

The point of installing from a disc is so that the game will load a bit faster. This also prevents less wear and tear on the drive because it's not constantly spinning. The drive will read the disc when you first put the game in to make sure you own it and
it will read all of the data so it's not constantly spinning. After it reads the disc it will stop and won't have to keep constantly reading the game.

If the game is not working for you try deleting it then re-installing it again. Hopefully it will work for you.

Hi I have a disc installation issue with my disc of wwe2k17 where it reads the disc,says installing but then stops and then get 2 different things 1 is the error 0x802705254 and another is scratched or damaged and disc is slightly scratched but
it has not been in use since I got wwe2k20 what should I do.

I some reason have it downloading like a digital game but if I eject my disc it stops also the game booted up strangly bc the way it is download should not let it

Is your disc in good shape? That could be the isssue. Xbox one discs are much harder to scratch, unlike 360 discs. The xbox one disc reader is much more sensitive than the 360 and therefore it has a harder time reading 360 discs if they are even slighty
scratched.

[TRY THIS]: I had the same problem with COD: Black Ops. My disc was scratched and even had a small crack near the center. It was telling me the disc wasn't playable. But I did get it to work though. I just kept re-inserting the disc. Eject the disc, rotate
it slighty, re-insert it. Keep doing this and you might get it to read the disc. Luckly since it only needs the game disc inserted to prove you own the game once it reads you shouldn't have any problems playing the game. Although the next time you put the
game in or close it and restart it, you might have to keep re-inserting the disc again. But a small price to pay, considering otherwise you will probably have to buy the game from the Xbox Store.

With Ultimate Edition you will have to have the second disc in while playing in order to use the DLC content. Again this being because you are only proving you own the game by having the disc in the console. It is reading and playing from your hard drive.
