My Xbox One is telling me to renew my gold, but I did a few days ago.

My gold ran out a couple of months ago, but I recently found out that Microsoft was giving me a month for free after clicking "renew" on the subscriptions page.

Everything had worked. I was able to play online over the weekend for the first time in months, but when Monday came, all of a sudden my Xbox One is telling me I can't play online and that I need to renew my gold subscription.

After going through many forums, I found that maybe deleting my account on my Xbox and redownloading it might work. Guess what? It didn't.

So I tried hard resetting my Xbox one to clear the cache. Surprise! Didn't work.

This is really annoying as nothing is working. I know I got it for free, but I still don't want it to be wasted because of some glitch or something.

Dredded attack of the Silver Accounts is back

Never had this issue, but I did renew my Gold subscription for another year a couple months ago, and until just this past week, my Xbox One kept telling me it was time to renew...

i renewed my gold subscription 2 days ago and its still showing the message on the dashboard telling me to renew my subscription, did i do something wrong???

 

Nothing comes for free in this world. By renewing your subscription you have accepted to purchase xbox live membership in a monthly base, yet if you don't have a valid method of payment to back up the renewal your subscription will get blocked until you
honor your dept.

For overdue payments you should contact xbox chat support billing section to sort this out:

I realize that you're trying to help.

Maybe Microsoft *** up and gave me the option of a month for free. All I know is that I had gold renewed, and I was able to play online for a few days, but now it's not letting me.
