My xbox one is so slow for some reason

I have had my xbox one for a while now, probably like 6 months, and it's been the slowest console I have ever owned, it takes like 35 seconds to open a function and there is a huge chance for it to error out just when looking at the achievements, when
I play online it is so laggy it's almost unplayable.

What's going on here, my xbox 360 and wii u have no problems at all, and the xbox one is almost un useable it's so slow.

Xbox one S NAT mishap

Hello so I have an Xbox one S and I’m having some trouble my Internet connection is fine my Nat type is open but sometimes it’s a moderate and for some reason Ill be playing games and then I’ll be kicked for my Internet connection speed being too slow
what am I doing wrong or what do I need to fix

slow for some reason, doesnt work in my game. it NEVER slows down ANYONE.

 

I would start with a hard reset. Hold down the Xbox logo on the front until it powers down. Unplug the power cord from the back for 5 minutes, then plug it back in and try again.

If you're experiencing lag while playing online, go to Settings, Network, Multiplayer Test and see if you get any errors or warnings there.

 

Have you tried power cycling your console?

 

Kenh2k4 I did both things and it did not fix my console, and no errors or problems showed up after doing a multiplayer test,

 

You are not part of the NXOE Preview Update are you?

 

Me and my dad both have xbox ones, his is in the living room, well mine is upstairs in my room, I checked the speed test on both consoles, my download speed is 3.38 mbps, well my dads is at 158 mbps, but strangely the upload speed seemed to be about the
same.

So why is the performence of both consoles online seem to be radically different.

 

That didn't answer my question of whether or not you are in the Preview Program. But to respond to yours, it could just be because of the distance from the wireless router that you are having problems.

 

I remember updating my console a few days ago, but I have no idea what the name of the update or what is was for.

 

Does it seem significantly different than the how the Xbox One usually looks?

 

Both my and my dada xbox ones look exactly the same, and it seems the same as I remember it but bare in mind I did not use my console much till recently.
